Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 July 2026

Welcome to Sister Qian (签姐) — a digital reimagining of the Chinese fortune-stick (求签) tradition. By using this app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What Sister Qian is

Sister Qian is a cultural and reflective app. Poems and interpretations are drawn from the Guan Yin 100-stick oracle (觀音靈籤) and the Jia Zi 60-stick oracle (甲子六十籤), with AI-generated commentary provided for guidance and reflection only.

Interpretations are for personal reflection and entertainment. They are not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or professional advice. Do not rely on them to make important decisions without consulting a qualified professional.

2. Your account

You may sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that happens under it. You must be old enough in your country to enter into a contract (typically 13 or 16+). If you are under the age of majority, use the app only with a parent or guardian's consent.

3. Credits and payments

Certain features — such as full readings from Sister Qian — require credits. Credits are purchased in tiers and stored in your account. Credit prices are shown at checkout and may change from time to time; changes do not affect credits you already own.

Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, resold, or exchanged, and cannot be withdrawn. See our Refund Policy for how purchases are handled.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the app for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive;
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service;
  • share, resell, or automate access to your account or credits;
  • submit content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes another person's rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Intellectual property

The classical poems are part of a shared cultural heritage. The app's design, code, mascot, translations, and AI-generated interpretations are the property of Sister Qian and its licensors. You may share your own readings personally, but you may not republish, resell, or use them commercially without permission.

6. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of translations, or that any reading will be favourable, correct, or predictive of real events.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sister Qian and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any decisions you make based on a reading. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
