Privacy Policy

• Account information — your email, display name, and provider ID from Google or Apple sign-in.
• Ritual data — the oracle system you chose, the stick number drawn, the optional question you asked, and Sister Qian's interpretation, saved to your ritual history.
• Credit and purchase records — your current credit balance and a log of purchases and interpretations.
• Newsletter subscriptions — the name and email you provide when you subscribe.
• Basic technical data — device type, language, and error diagnostics needed to keep the app running.

• To provide the ritual, save your history, and sync across your devices.
• To generate AI interpretations through our AI provider (see below).
• To process credit purchases through our payment provider.
• To send transactional email (sign-in, receipts) and — only if you subscribed — the newsletter.
• To detect abuse, debug issues, and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not run advertising trackers.

We only share data with trusted service providers who need it to run the app:

• Our backend and authentication provider (for account, database, and sign-in).
• Our AI provider, to generate your interpretation from the poem and question you sent.
• Our payment provider, when you buy credits (they handle card details — we never see them).
• Email delivery services, for account and newsletter emails.

Each of these processes your data on our instructions and under their own security terms.

The question you type is sent to our AI provider to generate a personalised reading. Do not type anything you would not want a service provider to process — for example, personal health details, government IDs, or other people's private information.

Your ritual history is private to your account. Only you can see it when signed in.

We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your language, theme, font size, and sound preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your ritual history at any time. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data, though anonymised transaction records may be retained for tax and legal compliance.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@sisterqian.com from your account address.

Sister Qian is not intended for children under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your country). Please do not use the app if you are below that age.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
